TotalEnergies’ Mozambique LNG Area 1 project has committed to awarding more than $4 billion in local contracts to Mozambican companies over the construction period (2026–2029) with up to 7,000 Mozambican jobs at peak. The project is 45% complete with 7,000–8,000 workers on site as of July 2026. Civil works, camp services, catering, environmental monitoring, marine logistics and ancillary services are all subject to active rolling local procurement through TotalEnergies’ dedicated local content programme.
