The Verification & Intelligence Doctrine
Editorial Policy of The Project Herald
The Core Principle
The Project Herald does not publish headlines to capture passive internet traffic, nor do we operate on the editorial models of traditional media. We do not race to break surface-level rumors, and we reject the sensationalism of general business journalism. Our readers — financiers, developers, heavy industrial suppliers, and sovereign policymakers — rely on our platform to de-risk capital allocations, evaluate procurement pipelines, and track regulatory enforcement across Africa’s economic corridors.
Because a single data error inside our publications can misguide multi-billion Naira capital planning, our editorial desk operates as a strict Intelligence Ingestion Unit. We govern our workflow through a rigid, data-driven validation matrix. We do not report what is heard. We audit what is built, what is signed, and what is legislated.
The Tri-Tier Confidence Rating Matrix
Every structured record, pre-news alert, and intelligence brief entering our database or digital editions must undergo our proprietary validation process. We do not treat information as a uniform block. Every asset is explicitly tagged with one of our three Confidence Ratings so users know the exact state of execution.
A rating of 🟢 Confirmed is the absolute baseline of institutional certainty. It is applied only when our desk reviews direct, verifiable source data — signed public-private partnership (PPP) concession agreements, officially gazetted federal regulatory orders, executed engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts, or verified hard-currency financial closes from lead arranging banks.
A rating of 🟡 Reported means the information is derived from high-integrity secondary sources, localized administrative disclosures, or on-the-ground corridor operators. While credible, these signals are actively undergoing cross-reference verification by our internal team and have not yet cleared our primary source audit.
A rating of 🔵 Estimated / Proposed covers forward-looking asset pipelines, predictive capital models, and early-stage Pre-News project signals. These represent structural market movements captured by our digital monitoring system — such as early-stage land right shifts, sovereign credit requests, or preliminary engineering route designs — before official procurement channels open.
Institutional Independence & Firewall Mandates
Our commercial model is built exclusively on scarcity and subscriber-driven utility. To maintain uncompromised clarity within our data ledgers, we enforce non-negotiable operational firewalls.
Under Sponsorship Decoupling, and as stated in our Advertising and Partnership frameworks, The Project Herald strictly limits its inventory to exactly one single enterprise sponsor per edition. This commercial partner buys absolute exclusivity of placement visibility, but acquires zero authority over our data analytics. Our independent corridor risk models and confidence ratings can never be modified, influenced, or purchased.
Under Source Anonymity & Protection, our network relies heavily on source-level project managers, procurement directors, and policy advisors operating directly inside regional corridors. We protect the identity of our intelligence network with absolute, unyielding security infrastructure.
Under the Non-Redistribution Mandate, information carried within our paid Weekly Intelligence E-Paper is designated under a strict, non-redistribution protocol. We actively track layout fingerprint leaks to protect the asymmetric competitive advantage of our subscriber base.
Correction and Asset Auditing Protocol
In the fast-moving landscape of project finance, project milestones can stall, switch consortium partners, or face unexpected regulatory adjustments.
When a project pipeline alters its trajectory, we do not simply delete the historical file. Our editorial team updates the entry inside The Ledger, adjusts its Confidence Rating, and maps out the structural reason behind the shift — for example currency depreciation, sovereign guarantee stress tests, or supply chain bottlenecks.
If a data point inside our active directory requires correction, we execute an immediate ledger amendment within 24 hours, alerting all affected institutional subscribers who monitor that specific economic corridor.
Closing Note
General journalism belongs to the public domain. Commercial intelligence belongs to the ledger. We maintain the highest standards of data integrity because your balance sheet depends on it.
