Yapı Merkezi Holding is a Turkish construction group founded in 1965 by Ersin Arıoğlu and Köksal Anadol, headquartered in Istanbul. Specialising in rail systems, tunnels, bridges and heavy construction, the company reported approximately $1.68 billion in revenue in 2022 and has built a substantial African footprint over the past decade, including rail projects in Ethiopia, Tanzania, Morocco and Algeria, and bridges and buildings in Sudan. It is currently the EPC/Turnkey contractor for Uganda’s Malaba–Kampala Standard Gauge Railway. The company remains privately held, controlled by the Arıoğlu family, with current leadership including Emre Aykar as YM Construction Chairman and Özge Arıoğlu as CEO.
