Construction of the grade interchange and underpass at the former Police Roundabout in Jimeta was formally flagged off by the Adamawa State Government.

The completed interchange was commissioned by former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri subsequently named the infrastructure Adamawa Unity Bridge.
Current — Operational
The Adamawa Unity Bridge is completed and operational as part of the urban transport infrastructure serving Jimeta and Yola.
The contract was awarded to Triacta Nigeria Limited following a competitive procurement process. The contract value was reported at ₦5,089,580,087.69. The project was flagged off on 30 August 2020.
The completed interchange was commissioned on 29 May 2024 by former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Governor Fintiri subsequently named the completed overhead bridge and grade interchange with underpass the Adamawa Unity Bridge.
The Adamawa State Auditor-General's 2023 report assessed the project as an infrastructure intervention intended to facilitate smoother traffic flow and support future economic development. The audit found that the design met the relevant standards and confirmed that the procurement process complied with Adamawa State's public procurement framework.
