The African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) has launched the Africa Green Transition PPP Fund, a new public-private investment platform designed to move green infrastructure projects from paper to construction, at the Ministerial Segment of the Specialised Technical Committee on Trade, Industry and Minerals in Abidjan. The fund will invest in renewable energy, transmission infrastructure, the water-energy nexus, industrial decarbonisation and climate-resilient infrastructure across the continent. Because the launch secured political backing from ministers of economy, finance, trade and industry present at the Abidjan session, the fund is positioned to move quickly toward its first closing, targeted at the Africa Business Forum 2026, which will serve as the investor-facing platform for that milestone.
