In July 2026, Mohammed Dewji said MeTL was developing graphite projects in Africa and planned to commission a processing plant with capacity of approximately 50,000 tonnes of graphite annually at around 95% purity within the next year. The longer-term objective is to invest more than US$250 million to produce 99.5% battery-grade graphite for international markets.
