Sudan’s Ministry of Finance is preparing to launch Nazaha, a new national digital government procurement and contracting system designed to modernise public purchasing, improve transparency and strengthen financial accountability across the public sector.
The platform forms part of the government’s broader public financial management reform programme and will serve as a central system for managing government tenders, procurement processes and contract administration.
What is Nazaha?
Named after the Arabic word for “Integrity,” Nazaha is a digital procurement platform designed to manage the complete public procurement lifecycle—from tender publication and bid submission to contract award and execution.
According to Sudan’s Ministry of Finance, the platform is intended to promote transparency, fair competition and better value for public expenditure while reducing reliance on manual procurement processes.
How It Works
Nazaha will operate as an integrated e-procurement platform, enabling government entities to publish tenders, receive bids electronically and manage procurement activities through a unified digital system.
A key feature of the platform is its planned integration with Sudan’s Public Budget Preparation and Execution System (PBPES). This means procurement activities and contract awards will be linked directly to approved government budgets, helping prevent contracts from being awarded without available funding.
The system is also expected to integrate with Baldna, Sudan’s government digital services platform, supporting wider efforts to digitise public administration.
