Africa–Atlantic Gas Pipeline Moves Closer to Reality

The proposed Africa–Atlantic Gas Pipeline has taken another step forward after ECOWAS member states advanced an intergovernmental agreement supporting the long-planned project. The approximately 6,900-kilometre pipeline is designed to transport Nigerian natural gas westward across the Atlantic coast of Africa, connecting 13 countries on its proposed route before reaching Morocco and potentially extending toward Europe.
